DonateHow to Give

Thank you so much for deciding to donate to Joshua Orphan and Community Care. As a small charity with low overheads we can guarantee that your money will have a huge impact, helping those who need it most. Thank you.

£4 can buy 5kg of Likuni (fortified porridge), which can feed 100 children at one of our Community Based Childcare Centres.

£5 can buy textbooks for students at the Joshua Secondary School

£15 could buy a 50kg bag of maize to feed a needy family

£20 a month could support a vulnerable child through secondary school, covering the cost of fees, uniform, textbooks, pencils and exam entrance.

Your donation could support a child like Chikumbutso Chilumba. Chikumbutso lost his mother when he was just eight years old. Abandoned by his father, he and his two siblings are cared for by his grandmother, but in her mid-sixties she struggles to earn enough to support them all. As a result on the day I met Chikumbutso he had not eaten. Sometimes Chikumbutso is forced to miss school in order to earn money to ensure the family can eat. But thanks to donations from Joshua supporters Chikumbutso doesn’t have to do this anymore. His school fees are paid for and the family receive food packages when times get really touch. Thanks to this support Chikumbutso can stay in school, focus on his studies and work towards his dream of becoming an engineer, “Coming to school is important to me because I want a good future.”
